AI Top 36: Round 2

Well, let's see first off... the 2nd set of 12 was pitiful in comparison to the first set last week. Thinking back to last week and my disappointment with a lot of the performances, that's saying a lot. Thank jeebus they bailed on the red room and the awkward parent interaction.

I don't know where to start. I guess I'll just head straight to my predictions for tomorrow. Adam Lambert (although his whole persona doesn't jive with me, i think simon summed my thoughts quite well) and Allison Iraheta (that's my kelly clarkson girl!) for the male and female leads. Then I would guess either Mischa Vonna Henson (surprised me but she was mostly in tune and i can't say that for the majority of the show) or Nick Mitchell aka Norman Gentile.

Sorry to Kim if I have bad predictions!!

I was very pleased with Jasmine Murray's ruff performance and saddened by Kim's piano man Matt Giraud's TERRIBLE song choice, your vibrato and song choice must match people! I have many more thoughts on the show, but they'll have to wait til the podcast!

I figure you guys will be happy with Mr. attractive Kris Allen making it through, though his vocals weren't top notch. I'm sad to see Normund Gentle go after last night's performance because he made me literally cry...DOOGIE!! Yay Adam Lambert! I feel like Chelsie with her love for Sanjaya. I'm pathetic. Hahaha! Not to say that you were pathetic Chelsie if you read this board, I promise. :)

hahaha oh chelsea. i wonder who she is lovin'. your boy was a shoo in.

yes, kris allen is acceptable, he has a very good voice... as long as he picks a song that he can sing BOTH the verse and chorus. he has enough talent that i'm not mad at him for getting through. i just hope everyone learns what the heck they should sing at some point.

there's still the wild card round! and i sense our comedian isn't completely gone from the show :)

The group number wasn't horrible! When does that ever happen? It's wild!

Ok pause. I just read on Wikipedia that this Kris Allen fellow sang "Man in the Mirror". I don't even have to hear it to know that he sucked up the verse hard core. And if he didn't, then he sucked up the refrain hard core. I'm going with the verse though. Yes?
